In women’s international cricket, India has a team known as the Women in Blue or India women’s cricket team. Being a full member of the ICC and with having WTest, WODI, and WT20I status, it is administered by the BCCI.
Over Test 41 matches they have won 8, lost 6, drawn 27 and the total number of tie is zero. Starting off their journey at the Test level initially, India was pitted against the mighty West Indies for their first ever, international cricket match, at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on October 31, 1976.
Trial 3: This team has played 310 ODIs, out of which it has emerged victorious 168 times lost 136, tied twice and four matches had tied results. As of June 2024, on the ICC Women’s ODI and T20I Team Rankings, India stands fourth on 104 rating points. India has reached final twice in the cricket world cup, once in 2005 got down by Australia by 98 runs and once in 2017 got down by England by 9 runs. They have four wins in the ODI Asia Cup: which were recorded in 2004, in the financial year 2005-06, in 2006, and in the year 2008.
In the Total of 187 T20I games, they have tied one and won 100, lost 80 and six matches ofrecsed no clear outcome. India is ranked third in the world with 263 rating points by ICC women’s ODI and T20I Teams Rankings at the end of June, 2024. India has reached the finals of the T20 World Cup once where they lost to Australia by 85 runs in 2020. They have managed to also win the T20I Asia Cup in three occasions out of the three times that the event happened: in the year 2012, 2016 then 2022. Nevertheless, they were awarded the gold and silver medals of the 2022 Asian and Commonwealth Games correspondingly.

The current sponsor for the team is Dream11 till July of the year 2023. Byju’s sponsored the team from September 2019 till March 2023. The relation with OPPO as the title sponsor was originally till 2022 but it was switched to BYJU’s on 05-09-2019. It may be noted that for the years 2014 and 2017, Star India was the Indian team’s sponsor. India’s Sahara Pariwar, 2002–2013.
Ever since Nike acquired the contract back in 2005, they assumed the role of an official kit manufacturer for the Team India. The contract has been renewed for one more term in 2011 and the second renewal was done in the year 2016 for a period five years each. Mobile Premier League sports items manufacturing division, as an apparel and accessories providing division of the MPL group, replaced Nike in October 2020 after Nike had opted to cancel out its contract the same year in September.
The BCCI stated on 30-08-2019 that the Official partners’ Rights for BCCI International and Domestic matches during the 2019-2023 season were purchased by Sporta Technologies Pvt Ltd (Dream11), LafargeHolcim (ACC Cement and Ambuja Cement), and Hyundai Motor India Ltd. This was following the process that involved the filing of an Expression of Interest.
In 2015, Paytm acquired the identify sponsorship for every sport the club played in India. In 2019, they renewed it through 2023. Airtel and Star India have served as title sponsors inside the past.
